Finding Ancestors in American Revolutionary War Records (Speaker Series)
Genealogy Society of Vallejo-Benicia's July speaker is James M Baker, PhD. His topic is "Finding Ancestors in American Revolutionary War Records." Dr. James M. Baker's presentation is an excellent, case-study-driven guide tailored for genealogists looking to track down 1776-era patriots. Dr. Baker emphasizes that finding a Revolutionary War ancestor requires blending a traditional paper trail with modern online databases. Rather than relying purely on broad index searches, his methodology focuses on an investigative, multi-layered approach to verify that the "James Smith" in the muster roll is actually your specific ancestor. Baker has been an active genealogist for over 15 years. He specializes in German, Midwest US, early American research, and DNA. GSVB Members will automatically receive a Zoom invitation. Non-members can send an e-mail to GSVBzoom@gmail.com to request a Zoom invitation. The event is FREE. All are welcome.
