The Supremes: Listening to the Law (Part 1) by Amy Coney Barrett
Our newest book group, The Supremes, is a discussion-driven series focused on the memoirs of United States Supreme Court justices. This group is designed for readers who enjoy thoughtful analysis, historical context, and deep dives into how personal experiences shape judicial decision-making. Rather than framing discussions around liberal vs. conservative labels, this group will explore the variety of constitutional interpretations held by different justices and the “why” behind their choices. We’ll examine how each justice understands the Constitution, how that perspective develops over time, and how those interpretations contribute to the broader story of governance in the United States. Leave party hats at home but bring the academic curiosity! This group will lean more analytical and discussion-heavy, with an emphasis on close reading, critical thinking, and respectful dialogue, even (and especially) when conclusions are frustrating or complex. If you enjoy asking big questions and sitting with complicated answers, this group is for you.

Live Music Friday with Osito
Osito formed in the summer of 2015 in Santa Rosa, CA during a production of the hit musical "Buddy" the Buddy Holly story. Today, their balance of in-the-pocket guitar-forward compositions and deep-cut, horn-centric grooves continues to offer a versatility of instrumentation unique to the Bay Area scene.

No Kings 3: Rally
What began in 2025 as a single day of defiance has become a sustained national resistance to tyranny, spreading from small towns to city centers and across every community determined to defend democracy. Our peaceful movement is bigger than ever. When our families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option. We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence. Rise up, take to the streets, and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings. We’re not watching history happen—we’re making it. Join us. A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. No Kings 3: Rally, Food Drive & March
Across the country, Americans are asking hard questions about the direction of our democracy. When federal immigration enforcement actions expand with limited oversight, when journalists face arrest or intimidation while doing their jobs, when transparency around high-profile investigations raises public concern, when families feel the squeeze of rising costs and economic uncertainty - it forces us to ask: who holds power accountable? The founders rejected monarchy for a reason. They built a system designed to prevent concentrated, unchecked authority. “No Kings” is not a slogan — it is a reminder that in America, power flows from the people, and leaders are accountable to the Constitution.
Join us for, guest speakers, live music, a community march, and a food drive in partnership with the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano. Bring a friend, bring your voice, and bring shelf-stable food (no glass) to support local families.
This is about defending democratic norms, protecting a free press, demanding transparency, and ensuring that the government serves the people — not the other way around. There are no kings here.

GLYPH - Art Exhibition
Glyph features thirteen artists from the Bay Area and beyond, Glyph embraces a liminal space which allows subconscious connections to reign and centers gut feeling as a source of poetry, mystery, and magic. Collectively, these artists draw from an enigmatic lexicon of symbols, favoring inscrutable familiarity over anything known or quantified. This intuitive language manifests through a varied approach to material translation that underscores, and celebrates, our innate ability to understand things deeply without having to define them in words. Remember when crafts were unabashedly kitschy and nobody apologized for it? We're bringing that energy back. We're talking paints, trims, teeny tiny bunnies, and all the sparkly decorative nonsense your heart desires. Go full pastel spring fantasy or make it weird – honestly, we're here for both.
