SOLANO COUNTY – Election Day polls closed in California at 8 p.m. Nov. 5 and preliminary results have been released for local elections in Solano County. The Vallejo Sun is tracking races in Vallejo and Benicia and we'll be updating with the latest election results on this page throughout the night.
We're tracking the mayor and City Council races in Vallejo and Benicia, three Benicia ballot measures, Solano County's two state legislature seats, and the Solano College governing board seat for Vallejo and Benicia.
As of 5 p.m. Nov. 12, 184,435 ballots had been counted countywide, representing 68.4% of registered voters. That includes 155,569 mail-in ballots and 100% of Election Day precincts reporting. Solano County estimates that there are still 6,800 mostly provisional ballots remaining to be counted.
Further results are expected Wednesday evening.
