As darkness falls, Susan turns her disability into her greatest weapon, fighting back in a deadly game of cat and mouse. Vallejo Symphony - The Miracle
This program sparkles with invention and contrast: the stormy brilliance of C.P.E. Bach, the crystalline craftsmanship of Stravinsky, Britten’s haunting Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings, and John Williams’ Serenade for Horn and Strings. Mr. Williams (E.T. and Star Wars) was a family friend of Jesse Clevenger’s and wrote this piece in memory of Jesse’s mother after she passed away in 2011. We’re thrilled to feature two radiant artists—tenor Salvatore Atti and horn player Jesse Clevenger—whose poetic sensitivity and luminous sound will bring Britten’s nocturnal vision vividly to life. Haydn’s “Miracle” Symphony closes the program with trademark wit and charm.
