VALLEJO — The final August Summer Nights festival of 2025 in downtown Vallejo Friday evening will be headlined by Bay Area musical duo CRSB, known for their unique brand of Hawaiian Island soul-infused pop.
The warm-up acts will be DJ Jack Nas and a DJ battle featuring DJ Glen Aure. Other attractions include artisan craft booths, food trucks, a beer and wine garden, and a craft corner and a petting zoo for youth. Revellers who want to stay out later can check out the “Back to the 90s & 2000s” event at the Townhouse Cocktail Lounge hosted by DJ Siannas Day, or the 4th Corner Speakeasy open mic event at the Red Men’s Hall.
Other musical highlights this week begin with guitarist Volker Strifler at the Empress Marquee Club’s weekly blues show on Wednesday evening.
Then on Friday, hip-hop venue Northstar Studios will host an underground listening party that will begin in the afternoon and run into the night, with SydeQuest, Steelo Fury & The Eye, Brother Gipson, and many more.
Also on Friday evening, indie rocker Richard March will perform at the Coal Shed Brewery on Mare Island.
Wake up on Saturday at the community coffee tasting event on Saturday morning at Moschetti Coffee Roasters on Curtola Parkway. Joslay Jose will play reggae-infused pop fusion for your listening pleasure from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
On Saturday evening, vocalist Hattie Craven will play at the Mare Island Brewing Company’s Ferry Taproom, and the Rendishun band will play dance rock classics at Bambino’s.
Then on Sunday afternoon, Roots Man Project will play high energy roots reggae dance music at Vino Godfather. Or treat yourself to a tango dance party at the Mira Theatre with La Orquesta de Fusion Tango's Pop Up Milonga.
The Townhouse Ramblers will return to the Townhouse Cocktail Lounge on Monday for an evening of Americana, folk, country, and blues, featuring Don Bassey, Erin Bakke, Pato Milo and occasional special guests.
The 4th Thursday of the month means poetry in Vallejo. It begins at 10:30 a.m with the Art Beat Poetry Hour broadcast on OZCAT Radio, 89.5 FM, and ends with the Poetry by the Bay open mic at the Mira Theatre in the evening.
Applications for the 2026-27 Vallejo Poet Laureate are now open online and at Alibi Bookshop and the John F. Kennedy Library. The application deadline is Oct. 30.
New artist workshops have been popping up around town. In addition to the regular workshops hosted at The Exchange, which will host a Stitch & B*tch on Wednesday evening, the Vallejo Branch of the Solano County Arts Council has launched a new drawing workshop that meets at noon every Saturday at the City Arts Gallery on Virginia Street.
Then on Sunday, starting at 10 a.m., Autonomous Gallery in the Georgia Street Breezeway will host an opportunity to relax, socialize, and get crafty at Coffee and Collage. $25 Includes all collage materials and unlimited coffee. Children can come for free with an adult.
Another regular gathering for creatives is the Make Fellows event at the Odd Fellows Hall on Tuesday evenings. All are welcome to bring works in progress and draw, paint, stitch, knit and create.

Porchfest Nights - Pardon the Interruption
