Another popular photo option is the Photos with Santa event at Brickmania on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. adjacent to the Vallejo Farmers’ Market. Bring your pets, kids and family for your photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Pay in advance to move to the front of the line. Proceeds will support the Humane Society of the North Bay.
Support your local community by shopping small on Small Business Saturday. Verismo Opera is trying something new, offering free admission to "The Capulets and the Montegues" by Vincenzo Bellini, which opens on Saturday evening at the Mira Theatre, with performances every Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 14.
This opera tells the timeless story of Romeo and Juliet. Bellini brings the tragic struggle between love and family honor to life through soaring vocals and poignant harmonies. Music Director Michael Moran will conduct the orchestra. With more women singers in the company than men, some of the lead male roles will be played by women. Two or three sets of lead performers will rotate through the company's six performances.
If you would like to help support Verismo’s mission to make this supposedly elite musical art form accessible for all, become a member for $30 and attend as many performances as you'd like, with early seating, during the 2025-2026 season.
These are just some highlights of things to do in and around Vallejo. Scroll down the list below to find more live music, art shows, comedy, and creative and recreational activities. Check our events page for an even more comprehensive listing of upcoming events and late-breaking updates.
